Irion County Court Calendar

Start with the court named on your case papers, then confirm the setting with the right Irion County clerk or coordinator. The Irion County court calendar is a public archive, and it leans historical rather than live. Each level of court here keeps its own schedule of hearings and docket calls. So one office rarely holds everything. Treat any posted setting as scheduling information only. It is not proof of how a case turned out, so confirm the date again before you travel or appear.

How the Irion County Court Calendar Works

The county shares its dockets as static PDFs through an official court docket archive. Files there are grouped by year, court level, case category, and sometimes month. The 2019 through 2021 materials cover 51st District Court family, criminal, and civil dockets. They also include Irion County criminal and civil dockets. That layout works well for finding an old setting. It is not one live countywide calendar. The archive does not carry a complete 2022 through 2026 series.

A PDF only proves one thing. It shows a matter was placed on a calendar when the document was prepared. The hearing may not have happened at that time. Or the case may have resolved differently. Check current settings against the case record and confirm with the office handling that court.

Irion County Docket Archive Timeline

The archive reads best as a timeline of past publication. File titles reveal how the local calendar was organized, though the wording varies from one document to the next.

2019
Observed county criminal and civil materials include date-specific files, such as a county criminal docket title carrying a May date and afternoon time.
2020
Month-by-month district family, criminal, and civil links appear, including a district civil docket identified by month.
2021
The observed series is less complete, but includes district categories and a criminal docket title with a November date and morning time.
2022–2026
No complete current series was exposed during research, so direct confirmation is the safe route.

A date tucked into a filename is helpful metadata. It is not a promise that every file follows the same pattern. Begin at the canonical archive page instead of guessing a PDF address.

Irion County Court Date Lookups

A solid lookup starts with the court. The District Clerk keeps 51st District Court matters, the County Clerk holds constitutional County Court files, the Justice of the Peace clerk covers JP matters, and Mertzon Municipal Court handles its own cases. Follow this sequence:

  1. Read the citation, notice, order, or other case paper and identify the exact court and cause or case number.
  2. Check the county historical archive for an older district or county setting, or search hearings through re:SearchTX when participating-court data is available.
  3. For a current district or county date, call the County/District Clerk at 325-835-2421 or visit the clerk counter at 209 N Park View Street in Mertzon.
  4. For 51st District Court scheduling, use the official district court page. It lists separate family/civil and criminal coordinators and says coordinators are available by email only.
  5. For a JP or Mertzon Municipal Court matter, contact the specific court shown on the citation. Ask an attorney in the case about any setting notice received through counsel.
  6. Check any calendar or courtroom posting the court provides at the courthouse, then confirm the date, time, location, and setting type immediately before appearing.

re:SearchTX provides case and hearing search tools, saved searches, and alerts, depending on coverage and security settings. None of that guarantees every Irion County setting appears there. The county offers no local calendar API, RSS feed, livestream archive, or universal reminder service.

Why Irion County Has Separate Schedules

Several county functions share one Mertzon address. That does not mean one docket. District, county, JP, and municipal matters each sit with separate custodians and separate scheduling paths. The 51st District Court serves a multi-county area, yet Irion County local staff remain the practical contacts for any Irion setting.

Matter shown Start with Calendar route
District felony, civil, family, or juvenile matter District Clerk or 51st District coordinator County archive for history; clerk or coordinator for a current setting
Constitutional County Court matter County Clerk County archive where posted; clerk confirmation
Justice Court citation or case Irion County Justice of the Peace JP notice and direct court contact
Mertzon ordinance or Class C matter Mertzon Municipal Court City contact; no city search portal was located

The Commissioners Court meets on its own government schedule. Its second- and fourth-Tuesday meeting time is not a trial-court docket. Never infer a judicial hearing date from it.

Court Settings: What Each Field Means

Column headings differ from one Irion County PDF to the next. Read the heading before you interpret a row. Treat the field list below as things to look for, not a claim that every archived PDF carries every field.

Date The scheduled date in the title, header, or row. Confirm it because the matter may later move.
Time The session or hearing time. A docket-call time may cover several matters rather than one start time.
Courtroom The room, floor, or court location if the PDF supplies it. Ask the court when it does not.
Judge The judicial officer or court assignment when displayed. Confirm the current assignment.
Setting Type The planned event, such as a hearing, plea, pretrial matter, trial, or other docket event.

Other fields may show the court or district, case category, cause number, case style, attorney or appearance details, and status or reset notes. Be careful with sensitive names and identifiers, especially in family and juvenile matters. Do not copy them into a new publication.

Irion County Setting Is Not an Outcome

The most common calendar mistake is reading a scheduled row as the final result. A setting only shows what was planned when the calendar was drafted. A continuance, reset, plea, dismissal, bench warrant, or final judgment may surface later in the case record instead.

Calendar versus record. Use the schedule to identify the planned event, then use the clerk file or an available case-detail view to check what was filed afterward.

When the outcome matters, request the actual order, judgment, or docket entry. Do not trust the setting alone. The county and district request forms need enough identifying detail for the clerk to find the record. Restricted documents still fall under access rules. Ask the clerk if a document you need is sealed or limited.

When a Court Date Moves

A setting can be reset, continued, canceled, sealed, or removed. The archived PDF may stay online long after such a change. Irion County does not provide real-time calendar updates. So do not assume a missing row means dismissal. Do not assume an old row is still active either.

Check the newest notice and speak with counsel if you have one. Then contact the correct clerk or coordinator. The district page lists family and civil coordination separately from criminal coordination. It asks email senders to copy opposing counsel or self-represented litigants. Coordinator email is a scheduling channel only. It never substitutes for filing a pleading.

Confirm Irion County Hearings Before Travel

The County/District Clerk counter sits at 209 N Park View Street in Mertzon. The office opens Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Friday it opens from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The district page notes the counter stays open through lunch. Holiday closures can differ from the JP list, so confirm before you drive out.

Ask the court to confirm your hearing date, time, courtroom, and any special appearance directions. Details like parking, transit, security screening, an ADA route, public Wi-Fi, or a countywide camera policy are not published anywhere official. The JP page does bar phones, recording, and photographs. It sets dress rules too. So read the directions from the court hearing your matter. Call that court about any accommodations you need.

Missed Settings and What Comes Next

Missed a court date in Irion County? First, check the notice and find which court set it. Then call that court or an attorney right away. If the citation names Mertzon Municipal Court, do not send a payment or plea to the JP just because it sits in Irion County, and never assume an email to a coordinator will change the setting.

Missed a Setting? A missed court date can have case-specific consequences, including a failure-to-appear issue or warrant action where governing law and a court order permit it.

Contact the clerk or your attorney at once, ask for the current case status, and obtain the court’s instructions before appearing.

A licensed Texas attorney can advise how to address a missed Irion County setting and any deadline tied to it.

Irion County publishes no online warrant search and runs no after-hours docket hotline. The Irion County docket search options can still help you identify the case before you call. The court that issued it remains the real authority.

Current Irion County Calendar Gap

The official archive holds no complete, current trial calendar for Irion County. Its historical files still help with older settings and local court-history work. Treat them as static. A 2019, 2020, or 2021 PDF is not today's calendar. No reader should be sent there as though it were.

For a live answer, call the County/District Clerk at 325-835-2421. You can also use the official district page to reach the right coordinator, or stop by the counter during published hours. JP matters belong on the official Justice of the Peace page. For municipal matters, reach Mertzon Municipal Court through the city. These channels give you what a static archive cannot: the current court docket.
